Stem mixes are a great way to inject some analog mojo into your track. Stem mixes require grouped tracks bounced into individual stems. This saves the integrity of the original mix concept and gives the engineer a great starting point. A good example for stems being mixed is as follows: -bounce pre-mixed drums to one stem with no limiting -Bounce bass to one stem with no limiting -bounce difference of music to one stem with no limiting -bounce lead vocal/hook to one stem with no limiting -bounce background vocal to one stem with no compression or limiting etc.
